Barn Party

We'll start the weekend off right by diving into the heart of Iowa culture at the renowned Iowa State Fair!
Out-of-towners, plan to arrive in Winterset no later than 5:00 pm. Winterset is located 30 minutes from the Des Moines airport. At around 6:00 pm, party buses exclusively for out-of-town guests will depart from the Cobblestone Inn & Suites and the Covered Bridge Inn. They'll whisk you off to the Iowa State Fair and bring you back around 11:00 pm. Enjoy complimentary beer and water during the ride.
Join us for a barn party at Alexander's Barn, just 8 miles West of Winterset. Enjoy a hog roast, sweet corn, and live country music by Matthew Kane and the Greenbrier band from 7:00 pm until 11:00 pm.
Starting at 5:00 pm, get in on the action with skillet toss, horseshoe, and potato gun shooting competitions. We'll have plenty of keg beer and spirits, along with some water. Limited shuttles will be provided to and from the event.
